To take an advanced level course, you much provide proof of at least three three intermediate levels (including unarmed) at merit or above, examined by an Equity recognised exam board.
Taught by an Equity Fight Director, and apprentice teachers from the ACTT, this three-day intensive training course is designed with actors and performers in mind; you will learn and develop your ability to learn and perform combat and violent actions safely and effectively.
The knife is a weapon that has been present, in some form, throughout human history and from a broad range of cultures. As relevant to modern age violence as it is to medieval, stone age & fantasy, the use of the knife is a key skill in a performer’s toolkit.
The Kukri is most associated with its home country of Nepal, the Gurkhas and the British Army. It is a brutal tool and weapon, that brings further fear and intimidation factor to an already deadly knife encounter. A knife fight will end in blood and death - a kukri fight will end with far fewer limbs than it started with.
As advanced fight performers, you will work with your advanced partners for a principle fight, but also with a crew of supporting fighters for quick, efficient put-downs that last a blink of an eye.
Examined by ACTT; all qualifications earned are Spotlight accredited
Discounts are available at checkout for Sword & Scoundrel members, ACTT members, and Equity members
