To take an intermediate level course, you much provide proof of at least three standard levels (including unarmed) at merit or above, examined by an Equity recognised exam board.
Taught by an Equity Fight Director, and apprentice teachers from the ACTT, this three-day intensive training course is designed with actors and performers in mind; you will learn and develop your ability to learn and perform combat and violent actions safely and effectively.
Rapier & Dagger is our introduction to using two weapons as part of a system. Many cultures have a precedent for one long weapon and one short weapon, and Rapier & Dagger is a stage combat classic to start you off.
At Intermediate level, we begin exploring stylistic methods of performing the techniques learned at standard - on this course we will be leaning towards the Spanish and later Italian method of Rapier & Dagger; expansive footwork and almost dancing with the weapons!
Examined by ACTT; all qualifications earned are Spotlight accredited
