Staff - Standard Level - Stage & Screen Combat Training Course - September 2025

£155.00

Sheffield, South Yorkshire
20th September, 4th and 5th October 2025

Standard Level is suitable for those with no prior experience, although there is a level of physical intensity involved throughout the three days.

Taught by an Equity Fight Director, and apprentice teachers from the ACTT, this three-day intensive training course is designed with actors and performers in mind; you will learn and develop your ability to learn and perform combat and violent actions safely and effectively.

The staff has roots throughout history, covering much of the globe and crossing all social class. From a purpose built fighting staff carried by a professional soldier to a branch broken from a tree, the staff can feel as much a part of a human body as a good pair of boots.

Examined by ACTT; all qualifications earned are Spotlight accredited.

We also have a guest instructor last thing on the 20th - Ross Burton will be giving a workshop on functional staff spinning and juggling! This will all be looped back in with the fighting context, and will give an unparalleled feel for, and control of, the weapon.

Discounts are available at checkout for Sword & Scoundrel members, ACTT members, and Equity members

In partnership with Sword & Scoundrel
